I am inspired by the reuse of materials, and even more spellbound by animals: their colors, shapes, textures, beauty, humor. I love how, as its eyes and snout appear, a handmade creature comes alive.
My metal pieces are made from printed tin containers and copper building scraps. They range in size from 12 x 12 inches to seven by three feet, and in price from $200 to $1,000.
Block prints, fabric, paper, found objects, mixed media -- these too are things I work with. These creations range from $50 to a few hundred dollars.
My work has shown at Chroma Projects Gallery in Charlottesville, VA; Quirk Gallery in Richmond, VA and at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, VA.
I live in Virginia with my family of four-legged creatures.
